• Dinitrol Treatment of Classic Alfa Romeo
  
  I decided DIY rustproofing treatment would be very difficult to do properly - and very messy - without professional quality compressor, spray and drum heating equipment. So I looked for Waxoyl / Dinitrol application services for my classic 1970's Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce and found it was very difficult to find anyone I trusted to do a comprehensive job of treating all the box sections and underside and who would take enough care of my beloved Alfa while doing so.
  
  Telephone conversations with Ian Bartlett at Bartlett Motor Technicians Ltd convinced me they would do a good job, and he was true to his word - Bartletts did a fantastic job of treating box sections, sills and the underside with penetrating Dinitrol ML, and then coating the underside with the more robust Dinitrol 4941.
  
  Before the car was treated, it was comprehensively masked by Bartletts to avoid over-spray on seats and exterior paintwork.
  
  Bartletts were guided by a model-specific Dinitrol spray diagram recommending where to access box sections, doors, A-posts etc., where to access through existing holes, and where it's necessary to drill extra access holes, which are plugged after treatment.
  
  The accompanying pictures show the ML treatment of inner sections, and the coating of the underside and wheel arches, which I expect will protect my Alfa Romeo for many years to come. Ian also offers a low price "top up" service for recoating of high wear areas like wheel arches.
  
  I can strongly recommend Bartlett Motor Technicians to do a great job in treating your classic. They're based in Weymouth, so we decided to have a couple of days by the seaside while Bartletts did the work. Weymouth has some great restaurants round the old harbour, and some fabulous coastline nearby for walkers.
